Well, Twitter is a much more powerful tool in the hands of people that really know how to harness that power!<\/p>\n<h2>Get More from Social Media with these Advanced Twitter Tips<\/h2>\n<p>Being a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rocksdigital.com\/using-social-media-boost-seo\/\">social media<\/a> marketer I can whiz through Twitter and bend it to my will \ud83d\ude09 \u2026 and leave people wondering how I did something or found something so fast, or so easily.<\/p>\n<h3>Advanced Twitter Tips, Easy as 1-2-3<\/h3>\n<p>Today I want to share these advanced Twitter tips with my friends at RocksDigital. So without further ado, here are 3 advanced social media tips for Twitter to help you get more out of the platform!<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"callout\">Advanced and Saved Twitter Searches<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re a Twitter user, you have most likely used a Twitter search before. You may have even saved the searches for use later. But what I\u2019m about to share with you will help you find just what you\u2019re looking for with the click of a few buttons and a saved search.<\/p>\n<p>Did you know that search engines (like Google, etc.) have what are called Boolean search commands? These strings of words and symbols help the search engine determine, in a much more refined way, what you are looking for. Let\u2019s say you are looking for opportunities to be a podcast guest in your niche. <em>Twitter has it\u2019s own search engine<\/em>. So fire up Twitter! People are looking to connect with others on Twitter every day, so why not use it as a tool to help yourself?<\/p>\n<p>Below is an example of an advanced Twitter search where users are tweeting about looking for guests for their podcast.<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16312\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rocksdigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/advanced-twitter-search.jpg\" alt=\"Advanced Twitter Search\" width=\"100%\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rocksdigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/advanced-twitter-search.jpg 625w, https:\/\/www.rocksdigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/advanced-twitter-search-300x158.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Try using combinations such as \u201cLooking for\u201d OR \u201cguest wanted\u201d OR \u201cwant to be a guest\u201d AND \u201cpodcast\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This string tells Twitter you are looking for tweets that have the phrase \u201clooking for\u201d or \u201cguest wanted\u201d or \u201cwant to be a guest\u201d as well as the word <em>podcast<\/em>. Go to your \u201cLatest\u201d tab on your search to find the tweeps tweeting tweets just like that. \ud83d\ude42 Fine-tune the search, then save it to use again and again later on.<\/p>\n<p>A few more examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;looking for guests&#8221; OR &#8220;call for&#8221; OR &#8220;accepting guest&#8221; AND &#8220;podcast&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;looking for presenters&#8221; OR &#8220;are you a presenter&#8221; OR &#8220;looking for guests&#8221; AND &#8220;webinar&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;speakers wanted&#8221; OR &#8220;looking for speakers&#8221; OR &#8220;call for speakers&#8221; AND \u201cyour industry\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"callout\">Create Lists for Warm Leads<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you use Twitter on a regular basis, you might make some connections with businesses or other people who could potentially become customers. (That\u2019s actually how I got started with my business!) When you begin these conversations or when someone comes to you with interest, <em>after<\/em> answering their questions, do you keep up with them? Sometimes, it takes a little warming up before a conversation can become a sale, so how can we nurture that along? The answer is Lists.<\/p>\n<p>When you\u2019ve had a conversation with another Twitter user and it\u2019s become clear that they may be a lead, add them to a private list! This way, you can help promote them when you\u2019re able, jump into relevant conversations, or answer questions as you see them, becoming a trusted resource for them. When you earn their trust and become a familiar face, they are going to be much more likely to buy from you or use your services.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"callout\">TweetDeck for Native Scheduling<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As a business owner, one of the easiest (and most dangerous) things to do is to schedule content ahead of time. (I say dangerous because if you just <em>set it and forget it<\/em>, you\u2019re in for some wasted time and effort.) However, with many of the most popular tools for scheduling, links may get shortened, causing no preview, or images or other media may not show up. Since tweets with photos get up to 313% more interaction, it\u2019s important!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tweetdeck.twitter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TweetDeck<\/a> is a tool that originally came out years ago, and people loved it. <em>I<\/em> <em>loved it!<\/em> But then Twitter acquired it, and effectively ruined it. However, more recently they\u2019ve made some updates to it, and now, a big pro to using it will be that we can schedule tweets, and media will show up natively in the platform \u2013 because Twitter owns it! The best part? This includes GIFs!<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 100%; height: 0; padding-bottom: 56%; position: relative;\"><iframe class=\"giphy-embed\" style=\"position: absolute;\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/l4FGAREbOSRLKMiNq\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>So if you\u2019re looking for a tool to help supplement your scheduled social media content without causing problems, I would go ahead and check it out, even if you only use the web version.<\/p>\n<h2>Take these Advanced Twitter Tips One Step at a Time<\/h2>\n<p>That\u2019s all I\u2019ve got for you today. And hey \u2013 don\u2019t stress yourself out trying to start doing <em>everything<\/em> in this list! Being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rocksdigital.com\/expertise-small-business\/\">an entrepreneu<\/a>r and a one-woman-show myself, I totally get how easy it is to make yourself super-busy. Just start with one and make it a habit, then move forward with the next.
