Without the proper training and tools, your likelihood of success is limited.<\/p>\n<h2>The Tools Every Sales Professional Should Have to Be Successful<\/h2>\n<p>Let\u2019s start out with the basics.<\/p>\n<h3>The Sales Binder<\/h3>\n<p>A \u201cshrink-wrapped\u201d sales binder is a sort of bible for anyone involved in selling. It should contain all of the materials needed to help you complete a sales transaction, from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/falonfatemi\/2017\/06\/20\/5-steps-to-become-a-networking-machine\/#2750ae1f456c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">starting to prospect<\/a> to getting that signed contract. The contents of a well-designed, shrink-wrapped sales binder should contain the following materials.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cold Calling\/Prospecting Script<\/li>\n<li>Sample Sales Letter(s)<\/li>\n<li>List of Qualifying Questions<\/li>\n<li>Top 5 Sales Objections + Responses<\/li>\n<li>Brochure + Marketing Collateral<\/li>\n<li>Product Fact Sheets<\/li>\n<li>Sample Proposal Template<\/li>\n<li>Customer Testimonials<\/li>\n<li>Price List<\/li>\n<li>Order Form<\/li>\n<li>Credit Application (if required)<\/li>\n<li>Customer Contract<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Looking at this list of requirements from top to bottom reveals the essential resources to go from prospecting to closed sale. And make sure to include your business card so they know how to reach you!<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a great start, but it is really just the tip of the iceberg. In addition to the sales binder, high performing sales professionals need access to training and other vital resources to augment their toolkit and advance their knowledge and skills.
